South Austin Homeschool Co-op
Better Together
Our vision for the South Austin Homeschool Coop is to provide
a Christian-based community and an educational foundation
to homeschool parents and their children
through a Classical and Charlotte Mason lens.

Our Story
What began in 2022 as a nature-based lesson co-op with three families has developed over the years into a robust community that meets multiple times a week and offers a well-rounded education for our children. We have synthesized resources from Ambleside Online, Classical Conversations, and others to produce our own flow of education for elementary students. During our twice-weekly meetings, each homeschooling parent utilizes her gifts to teach an aspect of the co-op. On our off-days, at home we all work on math and reading at our own child's pace. Some of us also choose to complete supplemental readings that go along with the lessons taught at co-op.
We meet outside in the most beautiful kind of classroom.
If you were to look in on our co-op meeting, you'd see kids listening to stories, reciting memory work with hand motions, exploring science concepts, creating art, learning music, playing games, and practicing speech and presentation skills.
